University Guide

Admission Policy

Daiichi Institute of Technology has an admission policy to “admit various types of students with good sprit of inquiry to engineering, interest in relations between Human/Society/Nature and technologies, and enough heart to challenge everything” based on its foundation motto “Development of individuality” and its basic principle “Nurturing creative engineers through development of individuality”.
In this context, the Institute carries out selection of students by providing various types of entrance examinations stated below to evaluate the aptitude and nature, not only the academic achievement.

Faculty of Engineering

Department of Aeronautical Engineering
Professional Pilot Course

This course is aimed at the acquisition of three national qualifications necessary to become an airline pilot. To provide the knowledge required for the theory examinations for FAA and JCAB private pilot license (PPL). To acquire the private pilot license, students will be trained and study in the United States for six months. JCAB commercial pilot license (CPL) and the instrument flight rating (IFR) training will be completed in Kagoshima campus where Kagoshima airport is located.

Aircraft Maintenance Technician Course

To provide the knowledge required for the theory examinations for the license of the second class aircraft mechanics.

Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering Course

In this course students will acquire the fundamental knowledge and the skill of aerospace technology to nurture broad adaptability and creativity on aeronautical engineering along with further technology of aerospace engineering to nurture applicability and creativity required for aerospace engineers.

Department of Electronics and Informatics
Information Science and Intelligent Systems Networking Course

Electronic components are built in equipment used in our daily life such as smart phone and digital camera. In this course, we nurture “Electronics Engineers” with capability of designing and developing such electronic components. In addition to developing electronic components we also nurture “Information Engineers” such as programmers and system engineers with capability of developing various types of equipment which contain software to operate its own system.

Control Systems Engineering Course

Today, we use various electrically programmed gadgets such as robotic vacuums, air conditioning, car satellite navigation systems. In this course, we nurture Engineers with capability of designing, developing, maintaining and operating such tools which start from learning the basics of microcomputer applications.

Informatics and Business Course (Tokyo Ueno Campus)

In this course students will learn with many international students: communication skills essential in terms of global competence, business model development methodology including innovation and technology strategies, as well as the latest ICT (information and communication technology).

Department of Mechanical Systems Engineering
